Chubb has a history of being a first mover among U.S. companies but its policies on oil and gas restrictions are weak and full of loopholes. Chubb dropped Rio Grande LNG and has the opportunity to be the first in the U.S. to rule out methane LNG expansion, following Italian insurer Generali’s example.
